My House girl-crush, Olivia Wilde, has been tweeting her little heart out about an upcoming auction from Artists For Peace and Justice, in which Golden Globes attendees will sell their red carpet outfits and donate the proceeds to earthquake relief funds for Haiti.
Keep checking the Artists For Peace and Justice website for more updates about the auction, which will take place on eBay. Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Pohler, and Olivia Wilde will be among the celebrities donating their outfits. Olivia participated in the revealing cleavage trend this year with a slinky, sparkly number from Dolce & Gabbana. Hot stuff!
Artists For Peace and Justice has actually been helping the people of Haiti since well before the earthquake. Established in early 2009 by Oscar-winning screenwriter Paul Haggis and friends, the organization has raised enough funds to fully sponsor three schools in Haiti in support of the initiatives of Father Rick Frechette and his team. These schools aren’t just a place to learn, but also provide for a hot meal, clean water and a chance at the future to children who desperately need it. Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, APJ has focused its efforts on raising much needed dollars for emergency aid in the ravaged country that is only a few hours from our shores.
