I admit that I am horrible at washing my face at night. I know, I know. It’s one of the worst sins I can commit when it comes to my skin. I know all of this and still can’t seem to get myself to wash off my makeup at night unless I’m specifically trying out a new product. It has lead to some pretty scary looking mornings but I think I have found something that will motivate me to start a new nighttime regimen.
Guinot Eau Demaquillante Parfaite or One Step Cleanser is the answer to us lazy gals’ prayers. Its like a makeup removing toner infused with flower extracts, cucumber and ginseng that gently removes make up with no rinsing required. I think that’s why I almost never wash at night as the water is just too dang cold that it wakes me up.
To use: Soak a cotton ball or pad and wipe gently all over the face. The cleanser will remove your makeup along with any other oil and dirt your face has accumulated during the day. This also will remove eye makeup as well, but you may have a tough time getting all of your eye makeup off if you use waterproof. Even then, if you are as lazy as I am, getting most of my mascara off before bed is still a big improvement.
The formula is so gentle your skin will feel soft, clean and hydrated without that tight stripped feeling and your moisturizer will absorb much quicker (that’s another reason to wash at night, I must be more loyal to my night creams). I love the fact that you don’t need to rinse it off and with it’s light scent you won’t want to either.
This is also a great product for your gym, yoga, spinning, or whatever-workout-you-prefer bag. With it’s no rinse formula you can simply clean your face and go. The cucumber will tone down redness immediately and leave you glowing not sweaty.
So New Year Resolution #105 is off to a great start I’m washing before bed every night so far. Maybe this year I’ll really follow through.
