Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg appeared on The View this morning as part of the show’s ”Fashion Friday,” focusing mainly on the figure-flattering wrap dresses (which she and the hosts wore), but also showing off some cool new jackets and pants. Check out the video:
One cute look she featured was a tight jean pant paired with a t-shirt. It seems simple, but since the t-shirt had some sparkly embellishments, Diane said, “you can wear it at night.” The pants were actually jean leggings (jeggings, if you will), and Diane says, “The denim leggings are really comfortable.” The model also wore a colorful, oversized suede jacket, which was cute, but honestly, I feel like if you’ve got any curves you can’t wear thick-yet-clingy jackets or sweaters like that.
“If I were a cook and had a restaurant, you would come and have a great buffet, and you make your own,” Diane said of her style. “And that’s the thing that I try to do. My clothes are friends, so when you wake up in the morning and you feel lousy, you open your closet and you go for your friends.” I’ve seen Diane on Project Runway before and she’s a bit of a kook, but I do think that’s a pretty great motto for designing clothes!
