Taradise: Tara Reid Shows Off Her Engagement Ring

I know what you’re thinking: Someone is marrying Tara Reid? It’s true — and she’s got a giant, gorgeous rock to prove it. According to The Huffington Post, the newly-engaged American Pie star was spotted last night at the House of Blues in Los Angeles at a Project We The Children benefit. The ring combined with her sequined, sparkly top is enough to blind you. What do you think? It’s clearly so heavy it’s falling down her finger, but I like the simple, round-cut setting. Is it prettier than Carrie Underwood’s ginormous gem?

According to People Magazine, 34-year-old Tara got engaged earlier this month to boyfriend Michael Axtmann, an internet entrepreneur that she began dating just last year. He proposed at the Little Door restaurant in L.A. “Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out,” her rep said. The couple is planning a small wedding for family and friends by this summer.

Tara, who posed for Playboy’s January/February issue, recently completed production on the comedy Last Call and the psychological thriller The Fields. Here’s the synopsis of Last Call: “Underachieving siblings Phil and Danny O’Donnell are forced to run the family pub to save their eccentric uncle from jail time and financial ruin.” Oh, brother. Can’t wait to see that one.
