The Pee Wee Principle – Mr. Herman Has What Women Want

Rosy cheeks, red lips, a tight grey suit?

That’s my man, Pee-Wee Herman.

Two week ago, I had the distinct pleasure of seeing my childhood idol play at Club Nokia in The Pee Wee Herman Show.  While I watched him run across stage, uttering popular phrases like “I know you are but what am I?” and “I don’t know, Cherrie…” in that lovable Pee Wee voice, I realized something. I have a full-blown crush on a fictional character.  In reality, I’ve had this crush since I was ten, but it really hit home when I saw him live.

As I dove deep in to my psyche to unleash the reason why I absolutely love Pee Wee one phrase came to mind.  ”If you love him so much, why don’t you marry him?”

Well, I am married, so I can’t marry Pee Wee.  However, the thought of living in the play house, feeling the soft arms of Chairry caress me as I relax and having Jambi grant me a wish every day had me living in my dream fantasy world.  When you get right down to it, Pee Wee is my dream man.

I see the suit and bow tie as charming. I’m not sure what he does for money, and I don’t care as long as he manages to pay the mortgage on the playhouse.  He’s got the best bike in town.  He’s funny.   Oh, and he’s got friends in high places.  Steve Jobs personally gave Pee Wee Herman an ipad as featured in a funnyordie.com video this week. The only downside to Pee Wee is the abstinence ring he continues to flaunt – what a tease.

So, ladies, gentlemen, single, committed, what is the lesson to learn here?  As women, we want our partner to have what Pee Wee’s got.  A unique fashion sense, a great sense of humor, a good ride, and his own place.  Pee Wee is no scrub.
