6 Personality Traits Everybody Should Work On

We all have different combinations of personality traits but some people seem to have way more of the good ones than the bad ones. Think about the people in your life that you admire most — what makes them so special? Here are 6 of the most valuable and hard to find qualities that we all should be lucky enough to possess.

Selflessness People who are selfless can be good listeners, generous with their time, or exceptionally patient in trying situations. It can manifest in many ways but the result is always the same: selflessness makes others feel loved, appreciated, and special.

Tolerance is about much more than the obvious ability to accept people of different races and cultures, it also means accepting the faults and imperfections of others without expecting them to change or improve. “Unconditional love” is the epitomy of tolerance and helps people feel comfortable being themselves.

Humility We all have talents, skills, and blessings, but the real value is in being able to remain humble about them and not come off as arrogant.

Genuineness is being honest not only in what you say but also in how you act. To be genuine is to let your outer self reflect your inner self in an authentic and honest way, without walls or guards up, and to not be afraid to share your feelings and tell people what you think (in a loving and caring way of course).

Sensitivity is special because it allows a person to feel for others and have insight into how they might be feeling. Sensitive people help others feel supported, understood, and appreciated.

Integrity is about sticking to what you believe in and not compromising your personal moral compass. In today’s world of temptation and greed integrity is hard to find, but those who have it are trusted and help others feel safe and respected.
