It’s like a scene from a bad action movie: according to USA Today, actor Charlie Sheen’s Mercedes SUV has been found crashed in a steep ravine near his home in Sherman Oaks, CA. Officer Bruce Borihanh says LAPD got a 911 report at around 4 a.m. that a car was down a cliff off Mulholland Drive. Around the same time, Charlie called to report that his car had been stolen. A search of the area found no evidence that anybody was in the car when it went over the edge. (Was it a rock? Ghosts? Maybe this is actually like a horror movie.) It’s being treated as an auto theft.
The Two and a Half Men star has been having a rough couple months, after being arrested in Aspen in December. Still, The Insider reports that Charlie made a joke about the situation: “It was nice to have police come to my house and for once and I didn’t have to leave with them,” he said.
Charlie said that he arrived home last night around 8 p.m.after working on his show and was preparing for that night’s taping. He went to bed at approximately 10:30 p.m. and was woken up at 3:45 a.m. by a phone call from OnStar informing him his car was in an accident. (Probably wouldn’t have been as informative had he been in the car.) He looked outside and saw that his car was missing from the driveway. Bummer!
