Alec Baldwin Rushed to Hospital After Daughter Ireland’s 911 Call
30 Rock star Alex Baldwin was rushed to a Manhattan hospital early this morning after his daughter called 911 and said he was “unresponsive.” According to the New York Daily News, paramedics rushed Baldwin from his Central Park West apartment to Lenox Hill Hospital with his consent at about 12:10 a.m. He remained at the hospital for more than an hour before he was released.
A law enforcement official said that Baldwin and his 14-year-old daughter Ireland had argued and she told a 911 operator her father threatened to take pills. “This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part,” the star’s rep, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement. “Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he’s completely fine and will be at work today.”
I feel like we’re not getting all the pieces to this story. Where’s Dr. House when you need him?? I guess it’s not a huge surprise, since Alec and Ireland have been known to have a rocky relationship (though have supposedly reconciled). Baldwin was trashed by the media in 2007 after leaving a voicemail in which he called her ”rude, thoughtless little pig” when Ireland did not answer her phone during a court-appointed pre-arranged phone call.
In any case, the paramedics obviously thought the situation was serious enough to warrant taking him into the hospital. I’m glad he’ s okay…gotta have my 30 Rock!
