Simon Cowell Claims He’s Not Engaged
American Idol meanie Simon Cowell says he is still single. According to US Weekly, rampant online rumors claim that the Simon will be getting hitched to American Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy…but it’s just not true.
Simon’s longtime publicist and close friend Max Clifford said, ”I spoke to Simon in London yesterday afternoon, just before he took his flight back to LA. I asked him: ‘Look, are you engaged? Is it true?,’ and he said, ‘No! No. I’m not engaged.’”
If they were engaged, it’d be pretty fast. He brought Mezhgan as his date to his 50th birthday party last October – but that was just six weeks after splitting from girlfriend of six years Terri Seymour, according to British reports. However, Mezhgan wore a new diamond ring while dining with Simon Sunday night at Mr. Chow’s in London. Maybe she just likes diamonds, people!
Even if there is no engagement ring, Simon seems pretty smitten. During a British TV appearance on Tuesday, Simon gushed about his lady: “She’s the one…She’s very special,” he said. He even noted his desire to become a father: “I think I need to have little Simons around.”
If Mezhgan can make Simon a little bit nicer, I’m all for it!
