Hello Kitty is one cat that’s had more than nine lives. From a little girls best snugly friend to Paris Hilton’s favorite blinged-out accessory, the adorable kitty with the red bow has been there and done just about all of it. Now Ms. Kitty is being reincarnated once again, this time as a cutesy-wootsy environmental ambassador. That’s right, Hello Kitty has gone green!
The new Hello Kitty eco collection is 100% eco-friendly and, of course, 100% cute! There are tote bags made of jute and organic cotton perfect for lugging fresh veggies home from your local farmer’s market. There is also a notebook made from recycled paper. And, of course, there’s a little plush Kitty decked out in her finest eco-outfit: green overalls. Boy she takes things literally.
The goodies are all very cute and an adorable way for Hello Kitty and Sanrio to be nice to the environment. Plus, it’s a great way to recruit new environmental crusaders. Get ‘em while they’re young. Perhaps, Hello Kitty will be responsible for single-handedly educating the world’s kindergartners on environmental issues. Imagine a little army of Hello Kitty-totting six-year-olds begging you to recycle? Who could say no!?

I want this stuff! I want it! Ahhhh! My house is FULL of those reusable totes though. Between ones I bought, ones given to me by an overzealous future mother-in-law, and ones I've gotten for free at events, I have reusable totes STUFFED with even more reusable totes. But none of them have Hello Kitty on them!
