Nadya Suleman, aka America’s favorite Octomom, is like a car accident. It’s horrifying, but you just can’t look away. The 34-year-old mother of 14 appeared on ABC’s The View yesterday, as somehow she has the energy to be out touting her book that’s in the works. Check out the video:
Besides all of her spawn, Nadya’s also famous for dropping 145 pounds, fast. Octomom readily admitted that her motivation was money. “The main reason was obviously revenue and I’m the first to admit it,” she said. “I’m very, very open and honest about that.”
She was also open and honest in her ramblings about being crazypants when she sought fertility treatments before the birth of her one-year-old octuplets. “I believe, in my mind, I was fooling myself, thinking, well I’m rationalizing – I do that often – thinking, ‘Well I can’t have kids later.’ I was told I had this time frame with regards to fertility. So, in my head,” she continued, “delusionally thinking that I could finish [my masters degree], that I could have one more baby after the six, that I could continue and earn enough money to take care of them.”
And here comes the pitch: “It took this monolithic experience,” she added, “of having eight simultaneously to completely wake me up and alter my mindset permanently. Everything, I’m dumping into the book that I’m writing.” I’m glad she’s been woken up, but is she done having kids? “I’m not going to say 100 percent no,” she says. The delusion continues!
