Six months ago, Kanye was all over the airwaves and internet, from the original Taylor Swift mic steal, to Photoshopped comics of said incident, to serious apologies. Understandably, Kanye has kept a pretty-low profile since the whole ordeal—until now. According to Elle magazine, Kanye has revamped his online presence with the re-launch of his website—now, a much cleaner, cartoon-free, tribal art-driven blog.
Since his first post on Tuesday—a clip of his new video “Coldest Winter,” directed by Nabil Elderkin—he hasn’t written a whole lot (and intense all-caps rants of yesteryear are nowhere to be found). But Elle thinks that the mix of high art and high fashion (posts include a Numero fashion shoot featuring a tribal-garbed Magdalena Frackowiak and a Riccardo Tisci forGivenchy studded flannel shirt), demonstrates that it is definitely Kanye who’s calling the shots with his classy new stuff. What do you guys think? Is this Kanye’s doing? And do we like it? Honestly, I found those all-caps rants kind of amusing.
I suppose the super-sexy photo of girlfriend Amber Rose he posted on Tuesday does seem to be more evidence that we are indeed getting an inside look into Kanye’s life, or brain. I’ll be intrigued to see more—and find out if his online resurgence will mean more appearances from Kanye in other kinds of media.

While the lack of ALL-CAPS posts of the new blog is appreciated, as well as a generally-sleeker web design, I wouldn’t say these new posts are anything new for Kanye. Even his old blog was full of high fashion, fancy couches and so on. Point being, he’s had his eye on style for awhile now. That said, the more Grace Jones on this new incarnation, the better. IMO.
Who else thinks that Russia bears walking the streets, and the vodka flows like water?
And anyone can know that in this country the most beautiful girls?
