Glee fans didn’t stop believin’, and it has paid off. Stars of the hit Fox musical comedy are taking the show on the road as part of the Glee Live! in Concert tour. Sadly, only four cities will behold the magic: the tour kicks off in May in Phoenix and continues in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.
Also, the tour will be missing one of the show’s biggest stars, Matthew Morrison, aka teaching hottie Mr. Scheuster. On the bright side, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Dijon Talton, Harry Shum Jr., Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Mark Salling and Naya Rivera are all scheduled to perform Glee favorites from the first 13 episodes and, perhaps, some new songs from the next nine. The show returns on April 13, so by the time the tour kicks off, we’ll have new songs from at least four episodes.
Here’s the full list of dates:
May 18: Dodge Theatre, Phoenix, AZ
May 20-21: Gibson Amphitheatre, Los Angeles, CA
May 25-26: Rosemont Theater, Chicago, IL
May 28-29: Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY
Tickets can be purchased at the official website, GleeTour2010.com.
“The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person,” series creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement. “And what show lends itself more to a concert than Glee? We can’t wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn’t be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities.”
In other exciting Glee news, E! News reports that Neil Patrick Harris will guest star on the show! Eee!
