“The Partridge Family” Reunites on “Today Show” – Without Susan Dey (VIDEO)
Get ready for some cheesy nostalgia! The Today Show is featuring “Great TV Families Reunited” all this week. Today’s group: wholesome 70s pop icons The Partridge Family. The show ran for four seasons and spawned seven chart-topping records, including the best-selling record of 1970, “I Think I Love You.” Check out the video:

Cast members Suzanne Crough, Danny Bonaduce, David Cassidy and Brian Forster all came to the show to reminisce. David laughed and said looking back at the 40 year-old footage is “frightening.” Brian said that the four of them “all got along great” back when they were filming the show.
Why was the silly, overly-optimistic show such a hit? “I think it touched a nerve in everybody at the time,” David said. “It’s very difficult now in the culture that we live in. But coming out of the 60s and still having that freewheeling kind of thing…wouldn’t it be cool to travel around and play music and have the opportunity to tour and be rock stars?”
“I think America was also looking for a funny, wholesome show,” Suzanne said.
Danny piped in and pointed to David: “They were looking for that face!”
The one face that was missing on The Today Show was Susan Dey, who played Laurie. Where is she now? She acted as recently in 2004, in the NBC drama Third Watch.
