Twi-hards everywhere are foaming at the mouth: the official full-length trailer of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is here! Yesterday we showed you a short, 11-second sneak peek. Now,the complete trailer is up, all one minute and thirty-two seconds of vamp and werewolf goodness you’ve been longing for, courtesy of MTV:
Ooooooh! What do you think? It doesn’t exactly seem like the most complicated story. Will Bella (Kristen Stewart) pick Edward (Robert Pattinson) or Jacob (Taylor Lautner)? We’ll also be introduced to the new version of fiery-redhead Victoria, played by Bryce Dallas Howard. (She was played by Rachel Lefevre in the previous films, but a scheduling conflict prevented her from coming back.)
The film is directed by David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night), so it may have a different feel from the first Twilight (directed by Catherine Hardwicke) and New Moon (directed by Chris Weitz). But, then again, I doubt he’s going to mess too much with the winning formula.
For Kristen Stewart, each movie is different. “Just as soon as you think you’re going to get the same story all of a sudden it completely changes,” she said recently. “Bella is much more back to herself. She’s content now. She’s comfortable and self-assured in a way that she wasn’t in New Moon. I think what I really love about Eclipse, is what was interesting for me to explore was different levels of love and acknowledging that the ideals that you maybe had a little while ago aren’t true.”
Eclipse hits theaters on June 30.
