Man Sentenced to 2.5 Years For Erin Andrews Peephole Video (VIDEO)

Michael David Barrett, the Chicago area man who posted a nude “peephole video” of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews on the Internet after filming her through her hotel door, was sentenced to 2.5 years in federal prison Monday.

According to People, Barrett, 49, was also ordered to pay $7,366 in restitution to Andrews, didn’t feel the punishment wasn’t harsh enough. Check out the video:

“I would have liked a longer time, but I know that the judge obviously did the best he could with the parameters that are set. But I’m glad that he’ll be away from anyone that he could harm for the next 30 months.”

She got a bit choked up as she continued: “I had to deal with a lot of people saying that I deserved this, or that I played to a certain crowd to deserve this. The sixteen other women who got this didn’t deserve this. The other women that he was searching on the internet didn’t deserve this. So you need to know that you didn’t do anything wrong.”

Barrett admitted that he stalked Andrews for 18 months, tracking her to at least three different hotel rooms in three states in 2008. He made the video after removing the peephole from her door in one of the hotel rooms and used his mobile phone to capture video of Andrews while she was naked.

Andrews will appear on this season of Dancing with the Stars. I hope she can focus on that and be able to move on!
