Top 5 Tinted Moisturizers

With summer heading our way, many of us are looking forward to the switch from regular foundation to tinted moisturizer. Tinted moisturizers are a great way to get a nice even skin tone that is light, natural and perfect for summer heat. There are a ton of tinted moisturizers out there and they come in handy in many situations.  They’re great for daily use if you don’t need a lot of coverage.  However,  I’ve used tinted moisturizes at the beach, after the gym (when I actually had a gym membership), on days that I’m just running errands and it’s the only thing I will wear on the rare and hellish humid days here in Lala Land. If you are new to tinted moisturizers, here are a few of my favorites and great choices if you are looking for an alternative to your regular foundation.

Bobbi Brown SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer

This moisturizer has the added bonus of having SPF 15 included.  And though SPF 30 is what is most recommended for the face if you are going to be in the sun all day, SPF 15 is fine you are going to be spending the most of your day inside with minimal sun exposure. This moisturizer absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves the skin evenly toned and glowing all day long.

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer

Oily- skinned gals usually avoid tinted moisturizers because they can feel greasy on oily skin and give minimal coverage if you are acne prone.  But with this moisturizer not only is the coverage buildable, it is designed to soothe even the most sensitive skin. SPF 20 is included so you can skip an extra sunscreen.

Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture SPF 15

This moisturizer uses Zinc Oxide as is sunscreen so this is a full spectrum sunblock that protects against both UVA and UVB damage. Dermalogica is a leader in easy to use, no fuss skincare and this moisturizer is no different. Available in 3 shades light, medium and dark the shades are self adjusting to choosing the right color is simple.

MD Skincare All-In-One Tinted Moisturizer

Since I love all things MD Skincare, I would feel like a heel if I left them off the list. Dr. Dennis Gross’  line MD Skincare is one of my all-time favorites and their tinted moisturizer not only helps firm and tone the skin and looks great too. The finish of the moisturizer is dewy and radiant and is best for normal to dry skin types.

Clinique Moisture Sheer Tint SPF 15

A lightweight sheer formula that has SPF 15 for sun protection and a light refreshing scent. This one takes a little longer to absorb than some of the others but if you are drier you will like the hydrating properties of this moisturizer. This moisturizer is also a little more portable than the others as and easy to reapply throughout the day.
