It’s that time of year. Time for all the coolest-of-the-cool to gather at hot locales and listen to great live music played by bands most people have never heard of! It’s music fest time! And you know what goes great with super cool music? Super cute fashion! First up this year is the South by Southwest music festival in Austin. Let’s check out what the ladies were wearin’ while they’re listening to the likes of Toy Horses, Deer Tick, Goons of Doom and The Coolness.
Of course, vintage reigned supreme among the music-lovin’ ladies of SXSW. There were lots of printed dresses paired with oxfords, flats and what seemed to be the requisite footwear of the festival, cowboy boots. It is Texas, after all. High-wasted denim was popular, whether it be ’90s-style cutoffs paired with a vintage concert tee or bell bottom jeans from the ’70. Then there were the teeny-tiny leather purses which many ladies paired with their outfits. What on earth they stashed in them is beyond me! And no girl was caught outside during the day without a pair of fabulously large sunglasses.
But, probably the biggest fashion statement of the festival was this: confidence. The ladies in these photos know what they like, wear what they like and love to show it off. It’s great to see so many confident women basking in the glow of individuality. And, the Austin sun!
