NBC Continues Being a Snippy Little B#!ch to Conan O’Brien

NBC has nixed a possibility for Conan O’Brien to appear as a guest-host on American Idol, even if it is for charity on their annual “Idol Gives Back” show. Not like producers of American Idol are reading my little blog posts or anything, but an appearance by Conan O’Brien would be precisely the thing lure me back into watching this reality TV show perennial. I literally haven’t watched an entire episode since the 2nd or 3rd season, and putting beloved ginger-y “Coco” on the show could have wooed back millions of jaded wiseacres like myself.

Conan starts  a live comedy tour (which IS allowed) in April, taking him around the country to 30 different cities, which some industry insiders say would make a great victory lap for O’Brien should he announce a new deal with Fox while he’s on the road.

Perez Hilton just let it slip that Coco might be joining the Fox Network for its annual upfront presentation to advertisers on May 17th, a day during which he is conveniently NOT doing his stage show. Then again, that guy lets a lot of things slip.

September can’t come fast enough!  Should Coco and Andy and Max and La Bamba land in Murdoch’s roost, will you be watching on night 1?
