Skinny Girls Tell Us How to Be Skinny: I Zone Out A Little


Somebody saw fit to stop gawking and actually ask Victoria’s Secret supermodels Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio about what they have to do to look like *that.* Their responses ranged from the blandly generic: “The first step is eating healthy” to the even more blandly helpful command to eat “spinach, avocado, lots of greens and broccoli” to the unintentionally funny: “I have a little bit of chocolate here and there!”  There is a little talk of “yoga, Pilates and low-resistance weight training” but there is also little talk of pints of Ben and Jerry’s.


Bottom line: whenever I see or hear anything about some skinny rich person telling me how they achieve their looks, it’s hard for me not to yawn because their advice seems to have little to no grounding in a regular life.  Hey, I live down here on Planet Earth!
Besides, Tina Fey is my supermodel, whose routine goes more like this: “Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed.” A few years back Fey also admits to using Weight Watchers to lose nearly 35 pounds.  Weight Watchers encourages members to shoot for a goal weight that results in a body mass index generally accepted as healthy (18 to 24.9).
Alright chicas, do you listen to celebrities about their nutrition, weight loss and diets?
