You have to give Lauren Conrad credit. She’s managed to escape reality show The Hills and have a somewhat normal life as a bestselling author, fashion designer and philanthropist (without becoming a plastic BarbieBot and wannabe pop star like Heidi Montag). But according to Us Weekly, the 24 year-old is starting to feel the effect of age on her body, as she revealed in the new May issue of Glamour (on newsstands Tuesday).
“About a year ago, I looked down and thought, ‘I have cellulite. Where did that come from?’” She says she “went through treatments” but admits her body “was like, ‘It’s not going anywhere.’”
She continued: “I get very uncomfortable with people watching me,” she says. “And I know that sounds silly because of the show, but we were filming with people that we’d known for years, and it was a job.”
One of the reasons Lauren left The Hills was to work on her new relationship with My Boys star Kyle Howard, 31. ”I don’t have to clear my movie dates with a filming crew,” she says of life after the show. “As soon as I started doing the show, I never had a boyfriend off-camera. It wasn’t allowed. So I had a rule — I would date someone for a few weeks, and that was it,” she says. “Anyway, the first two weeks are the best!”
The mag’s new issue is friendship-themed, also featuring Lauren’s pals Whitney Port and Lo Bosworth.
