Rihanna Officially Says Dodger Matt Kemp is Her “Boyfriend”
Rihanna has a new beau – and he’s no rude boy. According to People Magazine, the 22 year-old pop star told Ryan Seacrest (amidst giggling) that she and Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp are official. “Umm, he’s my boyfriend,” Rihanna said on the KIIS FM morning show, following several months of speculation about a romantic relationship (you might remember the hot pics of them canoodling in Mexico).
“It’s new, and it’s fun, and it’s nothing too serious, you know,” Rihanna, continued. “I don’t want anything that’s going to take up so much of my energy and time right now in a bad way. I just want to have fun, and that’s what it’s about.” It’s also about Matt Kemp being ADORABLE! Sigh.
For now, the Barbados native is focusing on her Last Girl On Earth North American tour, which also features Ke$ha and begins in Seattle on July 2. Rihanna describes the show as a “whole roller coaster” with “five chapters” – and she’s even been taking drum lessons from Blink-182′s Travis Barker to up her game.
“It’s so difficult,” she said. “It’s a lot of coordination. I thought I [had coordination] until I started playing drums. [But Barker] makes it really clear to understand.”
