He Was That In To You: Warning Signs He’s Lost Interest

He Was Into YouThe two of you were hot-and-heavy on Saturday and you’re not even sure if there is a “two of you” by Wednesday.

Men and women both are notorious for switching from hot to cold without notice.  Although it can be hard to understand why a guy has gone from interested to absent, there are some warning signs that he’s no longer in to you.

1.  He’s nowhere to be found. This warning sign is most blatant, but difficult for women to accept.  You guys were all over each other on your last date and poof, it’s like he’s vanished out of thin air.  He doesn’t call, so you finally call him back. You leave a message and he doesn’t return your call.  This warning sign can get comical as women try to rationalize why he hasn’t called back.  ”I wonder if he’s sick,” “I knew I shouldn’t have worn flats on that date,” and other ridiculous ideas pop in our brains.  If he’s dropped off the face of the planet – forget about him.  He has given you the most clear sign that he’s not in to you.

2.  You’ve lost your nickname. “Hey hot stuff…”  If your guy hasn’t gone as far as to just disappear, he may be dropping verbal clues that he’s lost interest.  If he no longer uses the same kind of pet names he did before, it may be a sign that he’s losing interest.  Of course it’s not a definite warning, but if he refers to you in a more sisterly way than he did to start, he may be realizing the two of you make better friends than lovers.

3.  He’s busy with work. Or play, or his family, or whatever.  Men who are interested in you make time for you.  It’s that simple.  If you ask to hang out and all you hear are excuses, jump back in to the dating game.  There may be times when work will pick up or family issues require some attention, but if you’re getting a plethora of reasons why he can’t see you, it may be because he doesn’t want to see you.
