TLC Gives Kate Gosselin a New Show
TLC wants more Kate Gosselin. According to CNN, the reality mom (and train wreck of a ballroom dancer) will be featured in the new show Twist of Kate. “In this new series, Kate Gosselin travels around the country to find out how other people juggle work, family and all the other challenges life throws at them,” TLC said in its announcement. Kate has certainly been keeping busy trying to balance being a mom, Dancing with the Stars contestant and paparazzi candy.
Kate’s previous show Jon and Kate Plus 8 was a casualty of the couples’ divorce. Her ex-husband Jon actually filed a motion for primary custody of the children in a Pennsylvania court this week, citing that she is juggling too many things and traveling too much. His lawyer said that the Gosselin children are suffering because Kate Gosselin “focused her entire attention on creating a name for herself in the showbiz.”
“In reality, when you look at whether or not she’s spending time with them, she’s not doing the job,” attorney Anthony List said. “She doesn’t have anywhere near the balance that she could have, because she’s looking for instant stardom.”
In the new show, Kate will be “walking a mile in someone else’s shoes — meeting real families in the middle of their own extraordinary challenges,” TLC said. “She’ll try out their jobs, see how their home life runs, see what they’re up against and find out what they do to let off steam.” The kids will be involved in “limited adventures.”
