Tax Day Freebies make April 15 2010 one of the most popular days of the year. To soften the heartache of having to pay taxes this year, several businesses are handing out free items for customers and our favorite coffee shop is no exception!
Today, Starbucks is offering its customers a free coffee - as long as you bring in your own mug. Here’s what we know about the deal so far:
You definitely need to bring your own mug but it doesn’t have to be a Starbucks mug. The point of filling your own mug is the awareness Starbucks creates for Earth Day by saving their paper cups. No one’s quite sure how many cups will be spared today but at least the awareness is out there.
What we don’t know is whether the company will fill your mugs with some of their more premium drinks like lattes. If anyone has been to Starbucks today and knows whether it’s any drink, please let us know in the comments area below.
Other tax day freebies include a free donut at Dunkin’ Donuts, two free cupcakes at Cinnabon and a free taco at Taco Bell. We’re not sure the restrictions and rules surrounding these tax day freebies but a little research online will help you find your answers.

When starbucks advertises a free coffee, it actually means a free coffee. Not a ‘specialty drink’ I used to work there and these days were tough because everyone would try to get these crazy 6 dollar drinks for free. Enjoy the free coffee, the employees love when people are thankful for the simple stuff : )

Regular Brew. Completely free, no purchase necessary. I’m surprised there wasn’t a line of people trying to get their free coffee though.
