ACM Awards 2010 Winners: Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and More!
The ACM awards always feature the most talented and respected musicians in the music industry and 2010 was no exception.
Last night, country music’s hottest men and women got together to honor the best of the best. And while many of the winners could have been easily predicted, there were a few shockers last night as well.
First off, Lady Antebellum unexpectedly dominated the event. Winning multiple awards, the group of three was honored with top pick for Best Single, Best Song and Vocal Group of the Year – even beating out Zac Brown Band, who was favored to win.
Next, the night belonged to sweetheart Miranda Lambert. The 26-year-old girlfriend of country hottie Blake Shelton was shocked to learn she was taking home the award for Album of the Year. Miranda performed her upcoming hit Home that Built Me from her new album Revolution and received a standing ovation from the crowd. But that wasn’t even the highlight for Ms. Miranda Lambert. The down-to-earth songstress was also awarded with a win for Female Vocalist of the Year, where she beat out favorites like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.
There were many highlights of last night’s show but the biggest came right at the end. If you stayed up to watch the whole show, you would have seen Carrie Underwood win for Entertainer of the Year. Carrie made history again last night by becoming the only female artist to ever win Entertainer of the Year twice.
We have to say, we are absolutely thrilled with last night’s wins. If we had to pick our three favorite country musicians we would pick Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum.
Were you happy with the ACM winners last night?
