The Twilight Eclipse soundtrack is set to roll out today via MySpace as the social media site announces a new Eclipse soundtrack song every half hour, starting at 8am PST. Way to make Twihards everywhere crazy, MySpace!
So far, we know for sure that the Eclipse soundtrack will feature author Stephenie Meyer’s fave band and Twilight “house band”, Muse. This news came last week, while MySpace announced today, in a crazy-making move, new artists every 30 minutes. So far:
11am EST: Canadian indie-rock foursome Metric, with the song “Eclipse (All Yours).”
11:30am EST: Beck and Bat for Lashes, “Let’s Get Lost”
12pm EST: Vampire Weekend, “Jonathan Low”
12:30pm EST: The Bravery, “Ours”
1pm EST: The Black Keys,“Chop And Change”
1:30pm EST: Fanfarlo, “Atlas”
2pm EST: Florence & the Machine, “Heavy in Your Arms”
2:30pm EST: Sia, “My Love”
3pm EST: The Dead Weather, “Rolling In On a Burning Tire”
None of the previous Twilight Saga soundtracks really got me excited, but now they’ve got Metric, The Bravery and Vampire Weekend in there – and I can’t help but be intrigued!
What else can we expect from the so-far surprisingly excellent Eclipse soundtrack? We’ll keep you posted!
Update: Dead Weather – yes!
3:30pm EST: Unkle, “With You In My Head”
Again, the selection of trip-hop band Unkle surprises and intrigues!
The rest of the tracks include:
Eastern Conference Champions – “A Million Miles An Hour”
Band Of Horses – “Life On Earth”
Cee-Lo Green – “What Part Of Forever”
Howard Shore – “Jacob’s Theme”
Well, the addition of Band of Horses pretty much guarantees I’ll be grabbing this album. What about you?

please do NOT say Muse is the Twilight “house band”!
um, why can’t they say Muse is the Twilight house band? Aren’t they in every movie and the writers favorite musicians?
