Miley Cyrus Dancing with the Stars Performance – Watch Now!
If Bruno had to describe Miley Cyrus’ performance on Dancing with the Stars tonight he would say she was like a untamed lioness who just escaped from her mother’s den and is looking for a wild night on the town – and that’s exactly what her performance depicted.
In relation to the song, Miley’s performance was intriguing, in-line with the theme of the lyrics and exciting. But was it too provocative for the 18-year-old starlet? That’s the question on everyone’s minds and that’s the question stirring up controversy again this week.
Last week it was Miley’s lap dance video from two years ago – this week it’s her provocative Britney-like performance on DWTS. Has she gone too far too fast – and is Miley destined for the same fate of popular starlets like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan? We think so.
Sure, any one of the events that have tossed Miley into the spotlight (the almost-nude photos, the Asian photo, the lap dance) might raise a yellow flag to Miley’s parents or friends but all of these incidences before she even hits 19 is a huge red flag, if you ask us.
Some (her parents) may say that she’s just acting like any other teenager – and they may be right – but when you’re a teenager who has hit the level of popularity that Miley Cyrus has so early in life, you have to pay extra close attention to make sure she doesn’t spiral out of control.
Instead of keeping a close eye on her and teaching her right from wrong, her parents make excuses for her and brush off her poor behavior.
The performance tonight was good. But we can’t help but think that this is a lot like Britney Spears’ performances when she was 18. And we’ve all seen what happened to her.
