Kelly Preston is pregnant! Star Magazine first broke the news that the 47 year-old and hubby John Travolta are expecting a baby. The couple confirmed the report with a statement in People Magazine: “It’s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this,” they said. “We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family. Love, John, Kelly and Ella.”
It’s especially heartwarming since John Travolta’s dogs were killed in a tragic, freak car accident at a Maine airport last week. In addition, John and Kelly’s son Jett passed away from a seizure last year at the age of 16.
“Kelly is about three months pregnant,” an insider said about Kelly, who’s also mom to 10-year-old Ella. “Both she and John are absolutely over the moon — they knew in their hearts that the time was right for this to happen.”
47 seems old to be having a baby for us normal folk, but it’s actually pretty common in Hollywood. Halle Berry, Sheryl Crow, Nicole Kidman, Angela Bassett, Kim Basinger, Marcia Cross, Salma Hayek, Edie Falco, Diane Keaton, Helen Hunt and Emma Thompson have all had children after the age of 40!
