Heidi Montag Divorce Update: Legally Separated from Spencer Pratt!
Everyone wondering whether the separation between The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt was legitimate might be interested in hearing what Heidi did today.
The blonde plastic surgery addict officially filed for legal separation from her husband. She did this at a Santa Monica courthouse as Malibu courts do not do divorces, according to TMZ.com.
The website also reports that the formerly inseparable couple are NOT legally divorced yet and that the point of legal separation is that any earnings Heidi makes after the papers have been filed will be 100 percent her own and not Spencer’s.
Heidi’s move is probably sparked by her high hopes of making a lot of money with her new reality show. The bleach blonde star is set to appear in a new show with former Laguna Beach costar Jenn Bunney and at least one of Hugh Hefner’s playgirl twins (we’re suspecting Kristina).
So Heidi is one step closer to freedom. Wonder if Spencer knew Heidi planned to file the papers today. Wonder how long it’s going to be before he files for bankruptcy. We give it a month, tops.
