Lady Gaga has finally released the much anticipated video for her single “Alejandro”! Directed by fashion photographer Steven Klein, “Alejandro” pushes some boundaries and looks to us like it’s another trademark Lady Gaga mashup of haute fashion, long-form video storytelling (think Michael Jackson’s Thriller video) with a dash of Catholic imagery and S&M outfits. Oh, and a lot of shirtless male dancers. We can’t complain.
Gaga herself has described “Alejandro” as a “celebration and an admiration of gay love — it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together.” I have to admit, I don’t really see that concept unfolding in the video, but maybe I’m too distracted by the outfits and stuff to notice.
Watch for yourself and let us know what you think of Gaga’s latest video!
