America Ferrera was simply radiant at the Edinburgh Film Festival premier of The Illusionist – and now we know why! The Ugly Betty star was wearing a brand new engagement ring! America’s rep confirms that the 26-year old actress recently became engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Piers Williams.
The couple first met at the University of Southern California when Williams first cast her in a student film. America and Ryan have lived together since 2007 and share a golden retriever named Buddy, who they refer to as “our baby,” America once told an interviewer.
No word yet on a wedding date, but America seemed so happy to show off her new diamond that we don’t expect a long engagement from the super cute couple. After saying good bye to her hit television show, Ugly Betty (I seriously miss that show), just a few months ago it seems that 2010 is shaping up to be a year of new beginnings for Ferrera.
