Elin Nordegren stands to make a pretty penny off Tiger’s infidelity. According to MSNBC, the couple’s divorce is complete, and Elin will get $750 million in the Tiger Woods divorce settlement.
It’s the biggest payout ever seen in a celebrity divorce. But with all that cash comes a lot of silence: Elin can never publicly speak out about Tiger’s infidelity with socialite Rachel Uchitel, reality star Jaimee Grubbs, porn queen Joslyn James and up to 17 others. A source said, ”Tiger’s main fear is her telling her story after he’s rebuilt his reputation, sending him back to the gutter. The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life — even if Tiger dies first — or she’ll lose the lot.” Yay! Maybe we can stop hearing about this now.
Elin ended up with double the amount of money she initially went after. Her lawyers found out that Tiger, 34, was worth a lot more money than the $1 billion originally thought. Her friend explained: “Elin’s legal team have done a great job digging up all sorts of assets.”
Do you think it’s a fair deal? Either way, Tiger will have plenty of money left over – and he seems to be doing fine in golf, meaning more money will keep pouring in.
This divorce settlement amount is fair since it is for a complete package for both, Elin and the children and it went up because Tiger is demanding from Elin a lifetime of silence. The settlement may include cash, trust funds for the children, real estate, properties and other considerations. Tiger is the one who caused irreparable damage to the marriage and the dissolution of the family unit with his adulterous, reckless and irresponsible behavior. Tiger, reportedly, had unprotected sex with multiple promiscuous partners, potentially exposing Elin to life threatening conditions such as STD, HIV, hepatitis, herpes, uterine cancer, etc. Some of these conditions can be dormant and could take years to show up. Tiger Woods humiliated his family in front of the world causing them enough hurt, pain and suffering that will scar them for the rest of their lives! Tiger Woods used his wife and children to earn millions projecting a false image of integrity as a devoted husband and family man, while living a sordid life in private. I applaud Elin for her courage, dignity and poise during this horrid ordeal and wish her and her children all the best!!!
Listen, I’m not going to defend Tiger Wood’s actions of infidelity at all. The man was completely wrong in what he did. Cheating is wrong, plain and simple. However, the amount of money that Elin will receive is INSANE AND DISGUSTING!!! There is no way on God’s green Earth that she should have received anything close to this RIDICULOUS settlement amount. Anybody who says this is reasonable or fair is a complete moron, or simply lacks common sense. Elin does not deserve a dime more then maybe 300 million, plus the 80 million dollar mansion that she received as well. Period.
I do blame Tiger though, he should have signed a pre-nup before he got married. Any woman who dates or sleeps with an athlete AFTER they become rich and famous is a Golddigger, they all are.
