Twilight Saga: Stars Secure Huge Payday for Final Films

Twilight Saga: EclipseIf this news doesn’t finally put a smile on Kristen Stewart’s face, it’s likely that nothing will.

Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart, heralded as the “Holy Trinity of Twilight” are reportedly set to make at least $25 million and a percentage of the gross for the final two-part installment of the Twilight Saga.

HollywoodLife.com is reporting that “Summit will pay stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner each a whopping $25 million against 7.5% of the theatrical gross for starring in the last two Twilight movies, Breaking Dawn parts one and two.”

This is just crazy!

Now, a bit of “movie math” goes into calculating the final figure, but essentially it gets broken down like this, “The previous Twilight film, New Moon, took in almost $710 million worldwide, and Eclipse is on pace to exceed that. But let’s conservatively assume that both Breaking Dawns do as well as New Moon: After factoring in exhibitor splits, a lesser studio share for international releases, and other typical debited fees that would give you a migraine if they were explained here, each star would take in another $16 million total, giving them all final paydays of $41 million.”

OMFG fqwdfFdsfdgfktew08tu8tigsldkfmsdlkfmdslkngkfjnjv vjdnfksf0ds-!

Sorry, my head just exploded.

Forgetting for a moment whether or not the stars actually deserve this large payday – what do you think the supporting cast will have to say about their earnings?  Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz were just recently involved in a pay dispute with Summit Entertainment where they fought to bank a reported $1.25 each for the final films.
