Uncle Jesse John Stamos arrived in a Michigan courtroom today in the trial of two locals, Allison Coss and Scott Sippola, who stand accused of attempting to extort nearly $700,000 from the actor by supposedly trying to sell compromising pictures of him.
One of the defendants, Allison Coss, claims she had a fling with Stamos when she was just 17 while John had separated from his wife, Rebecca Romijn, according to E Online.
“Scott Sippola, 30, and Allison Coss, 23, were busted in December after threatening to make public several embarrassing photos of the former Full House Star at a 2004 party,” E Online continues, “supposedly showing him with cocaine and strippers.”
Team Stamos has denied that any such images exist, only harmless pictures of John posing with fans.
Today the defendant’s attorney, Sarah Henderson told the court that, “John invited Coss and another girl up to his hotel room after spotting them at a nightclub. They accepted, and after they got there, two strippers arrived with cocaine. Coss and her friend took pictures of Stamos bending over a table with coke on it.”
Henderson went on to say that Coss and Stamos kissed on the bed that night, before getting into the hot tub together. When John offered to perform oral sex on Coss, she declined. Initially John was upset, but he later apologized and asked her to spend the night. She did. The two even maintained a flirtatious correspondence for a while.
John’s attorney, William Sobel countered that “This is really just a get rich quick scheme that is based on lies and betrayal.”
Following their day in court Sobel released the following statement, “”The allegations made today in the courtroom by the defendants’ attorneys during opening statements will not be proven because they are simply untrue.”
The trial is expected to last until the end of the week, with John taking the stand to testify at some point during the hearing.
