Sources reveal to Life and Style that Penelope and Javier, who were married earlier this month in a small ceremony in the Bahamas, will be parents next year! The insider reports that “the couple wanted to get married before their baby arrives next year.”
That is going to be one good-looking baby!
The newlyweds married quietly at a friend’s house with only family present. Penelope’s good friend, John Galliano, designed her wedding dress.
Cruz and Bardem first met in 1992 when Penelope was just 17 on the set of Jamon, Jamon. In the film, Penelope’s character, Sylvia, is a young woman expecting her first child. However, Sylvia’s mother does not approve of her relationship with the baby’s father, and attempts to sabotage it by paying Javier Bardem’s character to seduce her.
The pair also starred together in the movie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which resulted in Oscar wins for both Cruz and Bardem.
Despite meeting much earlier, the couple officially began dating in 2007.

Update: Penelope’s rep has denied that the actress is pregnant, claiming that there is no way she would get pregnant before filming and action movie. Cruz is currently filming the latest installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, “On Stranger Tides.”
