Nicki Minaj “Your Love” Vid Shoots to #1 – Watch!
Nicki Minaj has scored big with her new single “Your Love.” Entertainment Weekly reports that the song, which features a sampling of Annie Lenox’s “No More ‘I Love You’s,” has shot to #1 on the Billboard Rap charts. In the video, Nicki plays a samurai in training who falls for her sensei – but she’s not the only one. Who will win the battle for his love? And how many wigs are involved? Check out the video:
25 year-old Nicki, whose legal name is Onika Tanya Maraj, was born in Trinidad and moved to Queens when she was 5. Her debut album will be released on November 23, 2010. She has also released three successful mixtapes. When “Your Love” hit #1, Nicki became the first female artist, unaccompanied by another act, to reach No. 1 on the chart since Missy Elliott’s “Work It” spent 12 weeks at No. 1 in November 2002.
