Justin Bieber to Guest Star on CSI
Justin Bieber is going to be on CSI! People Magazine reports that the swoopy-haired, Kim Kardashian-lovin’ pop star will make his acting debut on the CBS hit drama, playing “a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother — a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation” with the crime scene investigators, the show’s producers said in a statement on the show’s website.
The 16 year-old Canadian sensation might even appear on more than one episode. Executive producers Carol Mendelsohn, Don McGill and Anthony Zuikers say that Bieber will be part of “an emotional story that will conclude later in the season.”
“This will be true event television,” they continued. “We’re looking forward to Justin’s dramatic star turn, not only in the premiere, but in a continuing seasonal arc.”
Hmm…sorry CSI, but plenty of other shows have stories that span more than a single episode. Still, I give them props for reaching out to a younger audience with their casting of the Biebs. Teen pop star Taylor Swift also guest starred on the show, and called her experience “life-changing.” Bieber wrote on Twitter this morning, “BIG DAY today…excited. doing something new.” Perhaps he’s talking about the show?
Maybe this is just the start of a long acting career for Bieber?
