Amid financial troubles, the New Jersey housewife said that she and her husband filed for bankruptcy last October to get “a fresh start” but with no attempt to curb their lavish spending Teresa and Joe Guidice will have to watch as their personal belongings are sold at auction.
The couple has also found themselves in legal trouble relating to their bankruptcy case, after a trustee alleged in court that Teresa and Joe hid assets and undervalued items exempt from the auction.
People.com writes that items up for sale on August 22 at their Towaco, NJ, mansion do include, “a Schaefer & Sons grand piano, two flat-screen televisions, several ornate chairs and sofas, a large ceramic urn, decorative fireplace accessories, a foosball table, a faux marble chess set, a suit of armor and at least three chandeliers.”
No doubt Danielle Staub is loving this! I actually expect her to show up at the auction and maybe even bid on a few items out of spite!
Teresa meanwhile continues to live in denial. According to People, she demanded a “sizable” gift from Joe for their 10th wedding anniversary, threatening to withhold sex for a month if he failed to deliver. So despite their mounting debt, Joe took Teresa on a helicopter ride over Manhattan and to a private dinner in a ritzy hotel suite where he presented her with a massive yellow diamond ring.
Let’s hope she enjoyed it! By our count she’s got about 25 days to wear that ring before it’s repossessed.
