Plastic Surgery For Your Tootsies?

Women are starting to go to extreme lengths to comfortably wear their sky-high heels by heading to their plastic surgeon for a foot makeover.

Is your interest piqued? The Beverly Hills Aesthetic Foot Surgery office in Studio City, California currently offers a wide variety of procedures for your feet that will have you running marathons in your Manolos.

If you’re feet are too wide, you can have them narrowed down with a preventative bunion correction surgery called the “Cinderella procedure.

If you have to cram your toes into every pair of shoes you own, why not just shave them down with the “Perfect 10! Aesthetic toe shortening”?

You can also have your toes lengthened or straightened, as well as Botox injected into the feet to prevent fungal growth.  Yum.

Finally, there’s the “Foot-tuck fat pad augmentation” that uses fat sucked from the  abdomen and injected into the balls of your feet for more padding while standing in heels.

The clinic’s founder, podiatrist Ali Sadrieh, told the Wall Street Journal: “It’s unrealistic to tell women not to wear high heels. I came up with procedures that allow the women to function, pain-free, in the real world.”

Is it just me, or are heels not really that bad?  I don’t wear them constantly, but used to have to wear them everyday for work, and always for 5 inches or higher (otherwise, what’s the point, right?) but I never had an issue.

You know what is absolutely painful, though?  SURGERY.  I had a friend who had that foot narrowing surgery because she had to, and she was in a wheelchair for a week, a boot for longer, and constant pain.  I can’t imagine electing to do that to myself for aesthetic reasons.

Foot plastic surgery:  hot or not?

  1. EEK! I do NOT have pretty feet by any means, but there is no way I would get plastic surgery for them to fit into narrow shoes (and yep, I’ve got wide feet). I’m shuddering just THINKING about getting foot surgery.
