Chelsea Clinton and her investment banker fiancé, Marc Mezvinsky officially tied the knot Saturday night, in a lavish multimillion dollar ceremony in Rhinebeck, New York.
After the wedding, former US President Bill Clinton, and his wife Hilary released the following statement to the press:
“Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”
It was also confirmed that Chelsea walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown, while her mother, Hilary donned Oscar de la Renta.
The Huffington Post writes that “guests began boarding buses at the Delamater Inn for the wedding,” around 5:00 pm on Saturday. After clearing security, they were ushered into the ceremony which was set to begin at around 6:30 pm Saturday evening. The wedding was reportedly an interfaith ceremony conducted by Rabbi James Ponet and Reverend William Shillady.
