Fantasia Barrino has been making headlines this week over an alleged sex tape but was the negative publicity too much to handle for the former American Idol winner?
According to TMZ.com, Fantasia was rushed to the hospital last night where she was treated for a medical overdose.
According to the report (which was also posted on WCNC.com), the singer was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville in North Carolina at approximately 8:55pm.
While the reports claim it’s unknown whether the overdose was intentional, we can’t help but think the timing is a little eerie.
Fortunately, doctors have confirmed that Fantasia’s condition is not life-threatening.
Let’s hope she didn’t intentionally try and take her own life.
