It’s over!
Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially ended their relationship, with the actress’ rep confirming to People, “Yes the engagement is off.”
While her rep did confirm the split, they declined to provide details of the break up – so I’ll take that to mean that I’m free to speculate.
Here it goes: Maybe Rachel and Hayden broke up because she realized that deep down she has always only really loved her O.C. co-star and former flame, Adam Brody!

That sounds possible, right?
This is totally my sick O.C. obsession talking here, but I have always loved those two together. And, friends have sited, “distance” as the reason for Hayden and Rachel’s split. (Rachel lives in Los Angeles, while Hayden resides in his native Canada.)
But Adam, he ALSO lives in Los Angeles! You’re in the same city! Yes, he’s been linked to Glee’s Dianna Agron, and I’m sure she’s great, but Adam, Rachel is the Summer Roberts to your Seth Cohen.

YES! I’ve always wanted them back together too! Whenever I watch the show I get so sad knowing they’re no longer together in real life. I want Rachel and Adam back together almost as much as I want Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams back together – oh and Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. If these couples could just reconcile, I could go back to living my life!
