Paris Hilton Sued Over Hair Extensions

Paris Hilton Hair ExtensionsHeiress and sex-tape star, Paris Hilton, has been sued for $35 million by a hair extensions company claiming that she breached her endorsement contract with them by opting to wear a competitor’s extensions instead of their own.

Hairtech International Inc., which made the Dreamcatchers hair extension line that was fronted by Paris beginning three years ago in 2007, is seeking damages 10 times the amount that Hilton was reportedly paid in her deal as spokesperson.

In addition to failing to wear the Dreamcatchers brand of hair extensions, the company sites Paris’ hard partying lifestyle was contrary to their agreement.  They also claim that she missed a launch party for her hair extension line because she was in jail after a series of driving offenses, violating yet another clause in her contract that implied she needed to “obey the law.”

The launch event, which was expected to have more than 600 “hair extension professionals” in attendance, lost a reported $6.6 million because Paris failed to show up.

Ultimately a jury will need to decide where or not Paris owes any money.  That is, if the case even makes it to trial.  I mean seriously, no partying?  Paris has made a lucrative career out of showing up places and acting ridiculous.

She has yet to comment on Hairtech International’s allegations.
