After being charged with disorderly conduct last April, Erykah Badu has paid a $500 fine and will serve six months probation, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Erykah stirred up controversy while filming her “Window Seat” video, where she strips down in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza – a popular tourist destination and the place where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963.
The neo-soul star performed her strip tease in front of a crowd of stunned strangers who just happened to also be strolling the plaza that day. Erykah was charged after a female witness complained to police about the singer’s strip show.
Erykah pleaded not guilty to the charges, insisting that she had done nothing wrong, but was ultimately convicted in court last week.
