Elin Nordegren and her scheming husband (or should we say ex-husband) Tiger Woods have finalized their divorce and are finally 100 percent legally free from each other.
The high profile pair released this statement today, pleading for privacy in the coming months:
“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future,” they said in a statement released by Nordegren’s Washington DC-based law firm of McGuireWoods. “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
It continues:
“Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”
There are conflicting reports as to how much Elin received in the settlement but many sources are reporting a $700 million figure.
We’re just happy Elin is finally free from her sex-crazed ex-husband. And we hope, for the sake of the children, that the two can co-parent successfully.
Now, the only question remains, who will Tiger go crawling to now that he’s a single man again (paging Rachel Uchitel!)?
