Lady Gaga may have just surpassed Britney Spears in Twitter followers, but Britney is still a Gaga lover. “I’m a big fan of hers,” Britney, 28, said in the new issue of the U.K.’s Pop magazine, which features Brit in a Japanese anime-inspired photo shoot.
Would Britney and Gaga, 24, ever do a song together? “Anything’s possible!” Britney says. She and Lady Gaga do actually have a few things in common: they both have Glee episodes dedicated to them (Britney’s will air this fall), and they’re both a little nutso. Gaga also believes in collaboration, having worked with Beyonce on “Telephone.” However, when Lady Gaga appeared with Cyndi Lauper on The TODAY Show in February to promote MAC cosmetics for AIDS awareness, she said she’d be down for a duet with the 80s diva, and nothing ever came of it.
Gaga may seem like the bigger star right now, but she’s only got two albums (not even two complete ones) under her belt, compared with Britney’s six. Maybe she could learn something from her elder! Britney’s certainly ready to be in the spotlight, given the hot bikini pics from her recent Hawaiian vacation.

They both are!! But Gaga is coming strong, she is hard to beat. Her songs are hard pumping and new classics, while Britney’s best songs are a little dated but classic. There is room for both.

Madonna is the queen of pop. However I like Cyndi Lauper better. All of the young female singers today list Cyndi as their biggest influence. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Pink are all awesome, but Cyndi is the original.

She did it before it was cool, and made it cool. Being outrageous for publicity, sexually driven songs, empowerment for women, etc. Cindi Lauper as well. Gaga and Britney do it now when it is acceptable (Britney before Gaga, of course). Especially the Lady, who seems to think she is really shocking yet continues to re-hash Madonna marketing tactics to a generation ignorant of past culture. So the answer is Madonna. I do like them both though.

Lady Gaga is definitely the superstar right now. She basically made Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera feel so irrelevant right now. HOWEVER, there’s this one more girl that she has to beat, and that is Britney Spears. Considering of how little of promotion she’s been getting, she’s still out there. They are coming out with new albums soon, and it will be interesting of who will come out on top. After all, they share the same audience. If I have to choose, I do have to go with Britney. Brit was ‘the mainstream of the mainstreams’ on 90′s Pop.She even shared a rivalry with Xtina(Christina Aguilera),but she fell for for her dark period on 2007(or 2006,i don’t know),which she used to use drugs.Gaga’s field is more vast(she’s the Queen of Dance nowadays).And she doesn’t have those problems that Britney had on the past.I think there’s more space for Lady Gaga now,because Britney had her chance(she was even named The Pop Princess).Lady Gaga’s videoclips have been a mark on today’s music(because today’s clips are full of gangster and naked women),because she’s original(so with her clothes,so with her way to do music and “redoing”,in her own spooky style,elements of other musicians(Madonna,M.J,David Bowie,Grace Jones,Cher).
in my opinion you cant compare Brittany, someone who has been in the spotlight for years and is only 28, to lady gaga who has only been on the scene for a few amount of years.
