Miranda Lambert Makes History with 9 CMA Award Nominations in 2010!
Not only is her personal life the best it’s been in a while (she just got engaged to one of country’s hottest stars) but Miranda Lambert is also leading the pack when it comes to CMA nominations this year.
The 27-year-old country songstress who rose to fame with her hit song “Kerosene” is engaged to Blake Shelton and will go head-to-head with her hubby-to-be on the night of the CMAs.
Miranda was the single most popular singer nominated this year. She took home 9 nods but will she leave the prestigious event on November 10 with any awards?
Many country fans are disappointed that Miranda was nominated for so many categories – especially diehard Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift fans who think their choice female should be on top again this year.
Personally, I think it’s great that Miranda was nominated for so many awards (including Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year for both White Liar and The House that Built Me, Album of the Year for Revolution, Song of the Year for White Liar, Music Video of the Year for both White Liar and The House That Built Me, Musical Event of the Year for Bad Angel and, finally, the coveted Entertainer of the Year) when for so long her work went underrated and underappreciated.
The 9 nominations represent the highest number of nominations EVER by a female artist. Way to go Miranda!
Does Miranda have what it takes to win Entertainer of the Year?
