US Weekly reports that the former reality star turned fashion designer, turned New York Times best-selling author will soon be returning to her television roots – and networks are fighting for her show.
Though Lauren refused to confirm or deny the rumors that she will once again grace TV screens nationwide, she did admit that if she were to take on an other television show, she would do things a little differently this time around.
“The only way I’d return to reality TV would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” she told the magazine.
Lauren famously fled the Hills last spring, about a year before the popular series ended. Former Laguna Beach rival Kristin Cavallari was hired as her replacement.
One month later, Lauren released her first book, L.A. Candy, based on her personal life. The novel followed the life of a young woman who moves to Los Angeles and stars in a reality show.
In the fall of 2009, Lauren launched LC by Lauren Conrad, a fashion line sold in Kohl’s stores across the United States.
Next month, Lauren will release Style, a book about her experiences in and knowledge of the fashion industry. She’s also currently working on writing a spin-off to her best-selling L.A. Candy series, devoted to Madison as opposed to the main character, Jane from L.A. Candy.
