NBC’s America’s Got Talent has always seemed like the redheaded stepchild of American Idol...but now that we’re down to the show’s final four, the contestants do appear to have some, well…talent. Here are the remaining contenders:
1. Theatrical singer Prince Poppycock. That’s right, he goes by the name Poppycock and he looks like a creepy patriotic clown, but maybe that’s just what we need to cheer us up during this recession?
2. Soul singer Michael Grimm, a 30 year-old who says he life has been nothing but a struggle and that he owes everything to his grandparents.
3. Jackie Evancho, a child opera sensation who really does sing like an angel.
4. Dance crew Fighting Gravity, basically a new version of the Blue Man Group.
Who do you think should win? I’m cool with either Michael or Jackie. I’m sorry, but if that Poppycock guy gets all the votes I am moving to Canada.
In next Wednesday’s finale, the four finalists will compete for $1 million and a headlining gig in Vegas. Check out the battle Tuesday night at 9 on NBC!
Canadians love Prince Poppycock … for his wit, creativity, and operatic voice. Perhaps we are also less homophobic than our southern neighbours.
Finalists are all great, but hoping Fighting Gravity comes out on top.
